This KULA session will begin with a 90 minute practice led by Helen & Demelza. There will then be a short break before we come back for all things assisting!
Over the course of two hours we will continue our exploration of assists & adjustments that we began back in November 2018! However, this KULA is aimed at the skilful use of straps to assist students. We will learn to make quality contact with our students through the use of straps, and offer both ourselves and our students an easeful transition into this slightly more complex means of assisting.
This session will also involve a portion on self assists with the use of a strap, so you can remain well adjusted even when you are riding solo.
These invitational assists are both subtle and informative and can be seamlessly executed in a vinyasa flow class, as well as more passive poses as seen in Yin and Restorative classes. Intuition is key. For those who participated in the MUDRA 200 hour YTT, there will be a little recap from the program, but these sessions are about progressing beyond the program, so expect to learn a lot of new content. Please bring your notebooks!
The straps are intentionally longer than regular straps, and will be provided for the workshop. Demelza will also have extras for those of you that want to purchase one post workshop.
